Release Official Video for "Forks" From New Studio Album it's not us Second Leg of the 'it's not us' Headline Tour Kicks Off March 7th in Aspen, CO
Umphrey's McGee have released a captivating and futuristic new visual for their track "Forks."
Featuring striking scenery from around the globe, the video finds the planet in the midst of a world-wide power outage caused by an apocalyptic solar flare that leaves mankind without phone, internet and all of the comforts of modern technology. Centered around the theme of light, the visual was directed by the band's Lighting Designer Jefferson Wafu and is cut in a visual style that parallels the band's acclaimed light show.
"Forks" is from the band's wide-ranging 11th studio album it's not us. Comprised of 11 vibrant songs the LP is a dynamic statement album that showcases the versatility and world-class musicianship that is at the band's core, from big, heavy rock elements and guitar wizardry, to softer moments, jazzy flourishes, propulsive percussion, and jams. By harnessing the energy of their live performances into the precision of their studio craft, it's not us encapsulates a range that is rarely found in a single band and displays their most succinct and accessible songwriting to date.
The band will soon head back out on the road for the second leg of their 'it's not us' headline tour, which picks back up on March 7th for three completely sold-out shows in Aspen, CO and will then take the band's revered live show to the West Coast. These dates follow a critically applauded East Coast run, which featured an epic three-night residency at the Beacon Theatre to celebrate their official 20th birthday. This summer will see the band return to the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on July 5th-7th to continue their Independence Day weekend tradition with a six-set triple-header. They will also make multiple festival appearances throughout the summer including stops at The Peach Music Festival in Scranton PA and LOCKN' Music Festival in Arrington, VA.
