Thank you for chatting with us! How was the last year for you? What were your highlights? This last year by far, has been the most eventful and exciting year! I released my first single ever called Girl Next Door and have shows booked every weekend.
Did you always want to be a musician or was there a specific moment that something happened that made you think "this is what I want to do with my life." If so, what was it? Being a musician was something that I had never thought of. I always had the idea of going to college, study for a couple of years, graduate then work a 9 to 5 job. Never in a million years would I think I’d be writing songs for people to listen to. There was one defining moment that I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, was when I saw Carrie Underwood performing at the Grand Ole Opry Stage three years ago, and that's what sparked the flint for me.
When/where do you do your best writing? Probably my room, or sometimes when I’m driving an idea hits me and I have to pull over.
What’s the best advice you have ever gotten from another musician? The best advice I've been given was always stay grounded, treat people with kindness and respect, and not try to compare and measure up to other people.
What is one thing you can tell us that most people don’t know about you and might surprise us? When I'm in that moment of writing a song, I pour so much of myself into each song, whether it's imaginative, serious, fun or dark, every song I write has some or all parts of who I am in it.
Was there ever music playing in the kitchen growing up? Yes! We always had the band No Doubt playing as well as anything Dolly Parton and Journey.
How do you drink your coffee? Honey and half and half.
What’s your favorite cooking show? The British Baking Show!
What's your favorite family recipe? That would be my grandmas famous pineapple upside down cake.
Finally, if you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why? The absolute dream would to be sponsored by Coca-Cola.
