- The one-day festival of music gear and pro audio products returns to the Summer NAMM Show -
On Saturday, July 20, Summer NAMM will host the second annual Make Music Experience (MME), an all-day, all-access pass to the show for the prosumer audience to demo the latest music and pro audio gear, meet with top manufacturers, and delve into career-enhancing education and networking opportunities with other music industry insiders.
The Make Music Experience invites musicians, songwriters, music educators and students, and sound and studio professionals to experience the members-only Summer NAMM show, the annual mid-year gathering of the music products and pro audio industry, July 18-20 at Music City Center in Nashville, TN. MME will open the doors to the trade-only event to learn and connect at professional workshops, see and demo the latest in new gear from leading brands and enjoy a multitude of performances and events in this experience, which connects music makers of all skill levels.
Emerging and established music pros seeking a jump-start to their career can participate in a robust lineup of NAMM U Idea Center educational sessions and panels carefully curated to enhance the careers of artists, musicians and songwriters. Industry experts, thought leaders and top Nashville names will cover a variety of career impacting topics. Sessions include “Songwriting Masterclass with John Oates,” one half of the best-selling duo of all-time, Hall & Oates; “Pensado’s Place Live at Summer NAMM,” featuring Dave Pensado, Herb Trawick and recording legends as they delve into the hottest topics in production today; and Grammy- and Dove-nominated Songwriter and author, Thornton Cline will explore tips and strategies to “Unleashing and Maximizing the Hit Songwriter in You” with a panel of professional songwriters.
Exclusive to the Make Music Experience, A3E (Advanced Audio + Applications Exchange) will present the game-changing technologies and ideas that are driving the evolution of music products pro audio and music making. Highlights from the program range from “The Future of Production: Gamifying a Supergroup with The Fell” to issues of rights and licensing with “Why Is Music Free and How Can We Get Back on Track” and “Data Collection Is Key to Maximizing Earnings,” as well as others.
