TailGate Brewery is all ages.

Established 2007; put down roots in Nashville in 2014.

TailGate Beer is a craft brewery in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s the largest brewhouse in the state, with a team passionate about brewing small, experimental batches, and canning award-winning products for distribution in Tennessee.

TailGate was founded in 2007 in San Diego, CA and relocated in 2014 to make Nashville its international headquarters. Since then, the brewery has grown from a 3 barrel system to a 50 barrel system, allowing for the three core can varieties to be joined by small batch, limited release craft beer. Releasing two new experimental and seasonally appropriate beers every week, as well as a specialty release hazy IPA program.. TailGate’s two taprooms boast up to 30 different brewed-on-site beers, and house made cider. Produced and distributed only in Tennessee, the brewery also cans year round releases for distribution across Tennessee in small and large retailers.

THE BEER

All of TailGate’s beers are brewed with a "beer first" philosophy, meaning that no matter how experimental the flavors get, the beer itself shines through. We source our ingredients locally when possible and work with local farmers to make sure nothing goes to waste.

TailGate Brewery has three core beers that are available in six-pack cans year round: Peanut Butter Milk Stout, Naked Statue Golden Ale, and Southeast IPA.

TailGate Brewery staff enjoys the art, science, and fun of creating new recipes. Their brewery antics – they do like to have fun, after all – result in two new beers in the taprooms every week. Styles range from traditional easy drinking ales, monster IPAs, sour beers, barrel aged, and seasonally appropriate beers. Inspiration comes from the staff, customers, and seasonal flavors. At any given time there are 30 different beers, all brewed in house, on draft at the Nashville tasting rooms.

TailGate also releases limited run 16oz cans, with a focus on hazy NE IPAs in 2018.

TailGate Brewery’s beers are available in small and large retailers, restaurants, and craft beer locations in Tennessee. Though in the US it’s a Tennessee-only beer, TailGate Brewery exports a specialty portfolio to the UK.

In 2018, TailGate Brewery launched TailGate Cider Company as a small batch pilot project. It’s currently poured exclusively at TailGate’s taprooms in advance of a core lineup coming to market.

THE LOCATIONS

TailGate Brewery has adopted a major craft beer market mindset for its taprooms. It was the first Nashville taproom to open its doors seven days a week, it offers the largest Mug Club membership in the state with exclusive access and discounts, and it offers a complete, scratch-kitchen food menu at both taprooms. TailGate Brewery locations are open to all ages, all the time.

Core staff members often make cameos on the artwork, too.

THE FOOD TailGate Beer developed a gourmet pizza menu to meet customer demand and complement their beers. Available at all locations, the menu includes classics like caprese & meat lovers, plus playful offerings like Sriracha chicken and lasagna pizza.
