Stella Prince Speaks to Hearts Everywhere With The Release Of Her New Single, “Before You Leave”

Singer/Songwriter Stella Prince just released her new self-penned single, “Before You Leave,” a powerful, timely, and universal message guaranteed to speak to the hearts of listeners of all generations and genres. "Before You Leave" reflects the nostalgic feeling of despair brought about by a significant loss and longing for just one more moment in time before that special something or someone is taken away forever. Prince added, “Loss is something all of us experience at different points in our lives. There are so many kinds of loss; loss of a friendship, a family member, or hopes and dreams, but one common thread between every loss is that it involves an end of some form of love or something we hold dear. As we go through life, our relationship to those endings change but the feeling is always the same. Loss is painful and universal.” The emotionally haunting track features Prince’s uniquely transparent and angelic vocals paired with a beautiful acoustic arrangement of cello and keyboard by Ned Ginsburg. It was produced at Ted Spencer Recording in New York City, New York, and is available through all streaming platforms and digital retailers. Listen here.

Prince was raised on all genres of music but early on, gravitated towards the emotionality and realness of acoustic country folk-pop as it best reflects her genuine and introspective personality. She enjoys sharing her original music with her diverse audience. The 16-year-old songstress feels the passion and purpose behind her music is to bring back an authentic sound of what she calls her “3 J’s,” Joan Baez, Judy Collins, and Joni Mitchell who she credits as her biggest musical influences, “I see authentic acoustic music, not as a throwback but a bridge to music’s future,” Prince adds. She also notes Emmylou Harris, Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, and Karen Carpenter as her other favorite artists. It is apparent by the depth of Prince's music that music is in her blood and goes way beyond her years.

“The maturity in Stella Prince’s talent transcends her age; probably by a fair few decades. Prince’s vocals don’t just offer an extraordinary range and the ability to hit celestially high notes. There’s a true sense of authenticity and soul which is infused into her acoustic country folk-pop which will make sure that the New York-based artist doesn’t stay up and coming for all too long." - A + R Factory Blog

Prince hails from New York, close to Woodstock, which by no coincidence is one of the great music capitals of America. She got her first guitar by age 9, but at age 7 was already classically studying voice, composition, and piano. Although Prince primarily resides in the Hudson Valley area, she spends as much of her time as possible in Nashville to perform, write, and further her music career. The New York-native completed an accelerated high school program graduating at age 15 and is nearing completion of her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts in college.

Aside from performing, Prince’s other passion is songwriting. She is a true storyteller, communicating her personal life experiences to her listeners and wants to make a difference in their lives through the power of her music. Prince has spent her time in quarantine focusing on the art of cowriting, and has enjoyed working virtually with many of Nashville's finest songwriters. She has had her song lyrics published in various magazines including Adelaide Literary Journal, The Daphne Review, Amazing Kids Magazine, Cliche Teen Magazine, and Skipping Stones.

Prince was also a reporter for her local newspaper and a radio DJ spinning 1930s and 40s music on a weekly show on WGXC (a community radio station licensed to Acra, New York). She has performed in and around New York, L.A., and, of course, Music City, at prestigious venues including The Bluebird Café, and has had many virtual solo concerts this year through Launch TV, Limelight Streaming, River Spirit Music, Sync Summit 2021, Nashville Entertainment Weekly, and Pop Blitz Magazine Showcase.

Prince is currently working on new music and adding show dates to her itinerary. To learn more about Stella Prince, her music, and shows, visit her Website, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, and YouTube.
