On April 8th from 8-9pm EST, Tourism Authority of Thailand is hosting a free, open to the public Thai New Year celebration: Spring into Songkran Splendors with events broadcast live from Chiang Mai.
During the one-hour event, guests will witness a live Songkran Water Blessing Ceremony, be greeted by the elephants at Patara Elephant Farm (a family-run conservation project that specializes in elephant health recovery), and partake in a cooking class with Food Network star and Nashville Chef Arnold Myint, who will share his secrets for making “Som Tum Thai” (Thai papaya salad) and sticky rice.
