NASHVILLE WINE AUCTION TO HOST PAIRINGS@HOME ON SATURDAY, MARCH 27

Virtual event and live auction allow attendees to participate from home with package that includes six featured wines and cheese/charcuterie board

The Nashville Wine Auction announces Pairings@Home, a livestream auction with wine presentations from six featured vintners, taking place on Saturday, March 27. While Pairings@Home will be reformatted due to Covid restrictions, the event still promises to provide participants with many of the favorite attributes that Nashville’s wine community has enjoyed at in-person events, including exciting auctions, sharing food and wine with friends, learning about new wines from vintners, all while raising money to support local cancer-fighting nonprofits. Ticket packages provide the six featured wines accompanied by a delicious cheese/charcuterie board. The livestream event will include a pre-telecast, silent and live auctions, and a post-telecast. “Our wine community misses being together and has been asking for a wine-and-food experience that can be brought into the home,” said President/CEO Holly Whaley. “With this in mind, Pairings@Home will provide the personality of the Pairings events our community has grown to love over the past eight years.” “The six wines presented during the livestream event are exceptional, and wine lovers everywhere will love hearing from these winemakers.” In light of the success of the Virtual Nashville Wine Auction last fall, the Nashville Wine Auction anticipates upwards of 600 online attendees for Pairings@Home. The Virtual Nashville Wine Auction raised more than $540,000 in October of 2020. The $350 package ($275 is tax-deductible) for two people includes two 100 ml (3.3 oz) servings of the six featured wines and a cheese/charcuterie board that two people can share. Packages for eight are $1,400 ($1,100 is tax-deductible). Attendees can pick up their wine/food packages on Saturday, March 27, from noon to 5 pm at City Winery (609 Lafayette Street, Nashville, TN 37203). The six featured vintners and wines for Pairings@Home are:

  • Crocker & Starr Winery - A.V.A Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2019

  • Senses Wines - Tenth Stop Chardonnay 2018

  • Beaux Fréres - Belles Soeurs Estate Blend Pinot Noir 2018

  • Detert Family Vineyards - Cabernet Franc East Block 2018

  • Taylor Family Vineyards - Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

  • Mt Brave - Mount Veeder Merlot 2014

During the livestream event, each of the six vintners will present a virtual wine tasting of their wine as attendees follow along at home. The schedule for the livestream event is: · 6:30 p.m. – Pre-telecast · 7:00 p.m. – Virtual wine tasting and Live Auction · 8:20 p.m. – Post-telecast Each Pairings@Home package also includes access to the live and silent auctions. The auctions, offered via a mobile platform, will feature extraordinary wine collections, VIP experiences and luxury packages. Bidding for both silent and live auctions will open on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Registration is required.
