SOUTHWEST AIRLINES KICKS OFF 2018 “ARTIST ON THE RISE TO LUCK” SEARCH
Luck Reunion is proud to reveal the highly-anticipated lineup for its 2018 festival taking place at Willie Nelson's ranch in Luck, Texas. In partnership with presenting sponsorSouthwest®, the boutique collective unveiled its eclectic artist roster with a guest-packed video shot at the famed World Headquarters in Luck, TX. To see the lineup announcement and learn about “Artist On The Rise To Luck”, visit the Luck Reunion Facebook page.
This year's Luck Reunion, happening March 15th, will mark the sixth year of its day-long music celebration. In the spirit of reviving Luck, TX's illustrious history as a creative gathering place, the Reunion is dedicated to honoring rouge music legends and today's artists imprinting American roots culture on their own terms.
Luck Reunion and Southwest made an early trip to Luck, TX to reveal the 2018 Reunion performers and the Southwest Artist On The Rise To Luck competition finalists. As the cameras rolled, comedian Billy Wayne Davis and 2017's Artist On The Rise, Devon Gilfillian, took over the Luck World Headquarters to make the big announcement with the help of some special guests. Davis called Josh Hedley to let him know he'd landed the gig and, impressively, managed to get Willie Nelson himself on the line. After Nelson threatened arrest for trespassing, the two smoothed it over and discussed the quality of “oregano” in the Headquarters cabinets.
Anchored by a headlining set by Willie Nelson & Family, Luck Reunion will welcome more than forty artists representing a wide range of genres, including: Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats; Kurt Vile; Nikki Lane; Waxahatchee; Josh Ritter; Hiss Golden Messenger; Preservation Hall Jazz Band; Ezra Furman; Aaron Lee Tasjan; and many more.
