Tilman Fertitta announced today that Landry’s and an affiliate have acquired the Palm restaurant steakhouses for $45 million, including the historic Huntting Inn located in East Hampton, New York. The Palm restaurants are located coast to coast, from such cities as Miami and New York City to Nashville, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.
According to Fertitta, “The Palm remains one of the storied restaurant brands in America; and we are excited for them to join our family of high-end steak house restaurants, like Mastro’s, Morton’s, Del Frisco’s, and the Strip House, among others.”
“Tilman and his team are some of the finest restaurant operators in the world, and we could not be happier to be a part of his organization,” said James Hamilton, COO of the Palm.
Now celebrating its 93rd year, the Palm dates all the way back to 1926 when Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi opened the first Palm in New York City. From day one, Pio and John shared their commitment to quality and generosity of spirit with every guest who walked through their doors. Their grandsons Bruce and Wally built on that success and expanded the Palm into what it is today. What began as a single restaurant by their grandfathers became a legendary steak house – a place to not only enjoy an excellent meal but also catch up with old friends, meet new ones, close business deals, and celebrate family milestones. Bruce and Wally will forever be a part of the Palm family, and we look forward to celebrating 100 years with them as they will always be ambassadors for the brand.
The Palm continues its legacy as a favorite gathering place and dining destination. The Palm’s philosophy is simple: Treat guests like family, serve great food, and always exceed expectations. Known for their signature dishes including Prime Aged Steak and Whole Nova Scotia Lobsters, the menu also includes The Palm’s renowned Italian fare including Chicken Parmigiana, Veal Martini, Baked Clams Casino, and an award-winning wine list.
Huntting Inn is nestled in the heart of East Hampton's Main Street, which, according to National Geographic, is one of the most beautiful Main Streets in America. The serenity and comfort of the Inn makes it the perfect country retreat any time of the year. The Huntting Inn is also the home of The Palm East Hampton, a popular spot for local residents, celebrities, socialites and politicians alike.
