Austin, Texas-based indie rockers, Origami Ghosts, are gearing up to release their new LP, Healthy Travel Potions, on July 12th. In advance of the release, Origami Ghosts are embarking on an extensive North American tour, including a performance at The East Room in Nashville on June 14th.

The East Room show in Nashville on June 14th is going to be a cool event for Origami Ghosts' fans. What kind of show can they expect? A show stopper. Wait is that a good thing? It'll be good. Fun! No one leaves unhappy.

Any places you are looking forward to going while in Nashville? I mean can we go to the Grand Ole Opry? Let's talk about your new LP, Healthy Travel Potions, where did the inspiration for it come from? From traveling, growing older, and making magick. What’s a song you may have written ‘just for you,’ but has had a lot of response from listeners?  "Grumpiness Pill" What is it that you love about making music? I love the way that it makes me feel. When I'm making music I feel that I'm realizing one my life's purposes. You will be touring almost all summer. Are there any places you are looking forward to playing the first time or somewhere you can't wait to get back to?  Looking forward to playing Canada (Toronto and Montreal) and all these other states and cities for the first time: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, North and South Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia. Especially looking forward to the South Dakota show as if everything goes according to plan, it will be the last of the continental United States that we will have played. New York City of course...and Boston, Vermont, Maine are also highlights. Chicago (where my parents are from), going by my dad's grave in Ohio (and seeing the old town that I grew up in Kent, OH), Cleveland, Detroit, Wisconsin, I mean I could list everywhere almost...but yeah Nashville is definitely a highlight too! Oh and Montana, Seattle...should be super fun as well.

What are your top three US cities for food? Austin, Chicago, NY, Portland, New Orleans, LA, Oakland. That was more than three.

What was the last great concert that you attended as a music fan? Again I'm bad at narrowing it down: Ween, Slint, Ariel Pink, Pinback, Amplified Heat, Joan of Arc, Agent Orange, Nobunny

What other hobbies do you enjoy when you need to unwind on the road? Yoga, Qi Gong, swimming, meditating...

Who is the bigger foodie in the band? Everyone except Anthony.

I can’t imagine you get a lot of time to cook while you are on tour. When out on the road, who gets to pick where you eat? It's usually consensus...or majority rules...Also we can cook sometimes...we've managed to make kitchari a couple of times and eggs frequently.

Finally, if you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why? Rebbl drinks or Buchi Kombucha...both of those so yummy.
