Nashville Symphony | Schermerhorn Symphony Center
1 Symphony Place
Nashville, TN 37201
Join us as we host some of the very best of the whiskey industry, taste their wares, and hear from them about the history, intricacies, and future of the whiskey business.
The Nashville Whiskey Festival is back for its seventh year in Music City. The Festival, produced by Midtown Corkdorks, culminates in a grand tasting on Saturday, October 6. A number of events during the week lead up to the Saturday finale including Women In Whiskey. Straight Up 615‘s very own, Cary Ann Fuller will again moderate a panel of women in the whiskey world.
The Schermerhorn Symphony Center hosts this year’s Women & Whiskey seminar and tasting on Thursday, October 4. While logistical details are still underway, the roster is set with a group of whiskey women all directly involved in production, from distillation to maturation. Expect a lively discussion from the moderated panel, and the ability to interact closely with these ladies while sampling the products from each panelist’s distillery.
Appearing this year:
Allisa Henley, Sazerac Tennessee
Andrea Wilson, Michter’s
Ashley Barnes, Four Roses
Jane Bowie, Maker’s Mark
Lisa Roper Wicker, Samson & Surrey (Widow Jane)
Nicole Austin, George Dickel
The limited VIP ticket holders will be able to pick the George Dickel Corkdorks Single Barrel Selection with Nicole Austin! She has selected a few barrels that she knows will be amazing for the stores and will be the best experience for those lucky ladies (and men) that get to help pick it for us!
If you thought that drinking (and making) whiskey was a boys' club, think again! Come enjoy the company of these marvelous women and sip the fine spirits that they create.
