Catherine McGrath drops a beautiful acoustic version of ‘Thought It Was Gonna Be Me'

Catherine McGrath just dropped a beautiful acoustic version of her brand new single ‘Thought It Was Gonna Be Me’ plus added UK headline shows and festival announcements!

'Thought It Was Gonna Be Me’ is for anyone that has ever fallen for someone, thought it was going to happen and then found out that they do not feel the same. It is a relatable and honest track and this stripped-back version accentuates Catherine’s hauntingly beautiful vocals and the emotional lyrics. You can check it out on Spotify HERE or YouTube HERE.

You can hear the original version of the single HERE - it is her second official single, following ‘Talk Of This Town’, and became her 9th consecutive New Music Friday playlisted track on Spotify.

The Irish songwriter blends fresh-faced pop with influences straight outta Nashville and has been hotly tipped for big things in 2018 by the likes of The Independent, The Sun, The Times and Music Week, who made her a cover artist along with Mabel and Pale Waves at the start of the year for their ones to watch issue. She also recently performed live on BBC Radio 2 and sold-out her first UK headline show at Camden Assembly this March in less then 24hours.
