Acclaimed Americana singer-songwriter Autumn Nicholas is set to release her highly anticipated new single, “Listening (feat/SistaStrings),” on March 7, 2025, via Moraine Music Group/A+N Records. Produced by Grammy award-winning engineer, Charles Yingling, the track was co-written by Nicholas and Steven Dayvid McKellar (Civil Twilight). The release of “Listening (feat. SistaStrings)” marks the final song from Nicholas’ “Songs With Friends” collection. Pre-save the new song here.

Recognized by the Nashville Scene as one of "2024’s Artists to Watch," Nicholas once again showcases a gift for storytelling, weaving heartfelt lyricism with her signature blend of Americana and Soul. The hauntingly beautiful new single features the incomparable SistaStrings, adding rich, soulful instrumentation that elevates the song’s deeply introspective message.

“Listening is about taking the moment to truly hear in conversations with partners, loved ones, people you’ve known for decades or just met, or even yourself. It is about engaging in the other person’s narrative, finding that connection and putting yourself on hold while focusing, sometimes for the first time, fully on the other human,” said Nicholas. “Having SistaStrings on this record adds layers of depth and resonance that, I hope, helps people open themselves up to a fuller, more complete connection. Their artistry is so visceral and I am thrilled to have them on two of the “Songs with Friends” collection.”

Grammy-winning engineer, Charles Yingling, produced and recorded  “Listening (feat. SistaStrings)”.  He said, "The first time I saw Autumn Nicholas live, I was floored. Autumn's voice didn’t just fill the room—it reached into every soul in the room."

American Songwriter recognized Nicholas' performance as one of the Top 5 at Nashville's "Love Rising" benefit last year remarking, "With powerhouse vocals and emotive lyrics while backed by the Rainbow Coalition Band, Nicholas’ rising star was evident at Bridgestone Arena." Country Universe also hailed Nicholas’ talent as a songwriter commenting “The quality of Autumn Nicholas’ songwriting is so far above the Music Row standard these days that it’s almost an incidental side note that they’re a gifted and expressive singer as well.”

Nicholas has opened for Amanda Shires on her “Take it Like a Man” tour, for Jason Isbell during his Ryman residency and in Atlanta this year, played the main stage at Nashville Pride, The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, The Tennessee Theatre as part of the "Pass the Mic: Creating A Stage for Change" series that aired on PBS, and as part of the "Love Rising" benefit last year in Nashville. Nicholas’ episode of the Tennessee Theatre's "Pass the Mic: Creating A Stage for Change" has been nominated for Best Documentary - Cultural for the 39th Annual Nashville/Midsouth Emmy Awards. This year, she is joining Brandi Carlile’s Mothership Weekend for the first time.

Nicholas will celebrate the release of “Listening (feat./SistaStrings)” on March 8, 2025, with a special performance at “Folk For All Y’All” at The Green Room at Crosstown Arts in Memphis, TN and as part of Brandi Carlile’s Mothership Weekend May 9 - 11, in Miramar Beach, FL.
