Do you have a family tradition you love to do each Christmas? Lisa makes tamales Christmas Eve and the whole family helps. It makes for great memories!  What have you asked Santa for this year? An opportunity to perform on the Grand Ole Opry & a wine sponsorship.

What was a popular gift that most children wanted when you were growing up? Did you have one? Karaoke Machines! And yes, some of us got one from Santa;) Do you have a favorite Christmas Movie? “White Christmas,” “Rudolph,” & “The Grinch” rank pretty high for some of us.  A couple of the girls are slightly obsessed with the lighthearted Hallmark movie marathon situation happening right now.

What about a favorite Christmas food? Do you cook a big Christmas dinner? Each of us does something different but it all centers around lots of food and time with our families What is your favorite Christmas song/album? Dolly Parton “Home For Christmas” album. How can you go wrong with Dolly?

Name three things you are thankful for this year? Only three?? Okay... We are thankful for each other first, our ever growing Farewell Family, and our new record that’s coming out early 2019!! What have been the highlights for you from 2018? Absolutely our “Women & Wine” tour, which is our first time touring as headliners. Any New Year's resolutions? We set goals as a band every year and one for 2019 is to play overseas again. Good news, it’s already in the works. You’ll have to stay tuned to see where we go!

What is 2019 going to look like for you? 2019 looks like an amazing touring year for us already and we’re so excited for all the amazing people we’ll get to meet along the way!

Christmas In A Glass, Winter Sangria

1 750 ml bottle of red wine

3 250 ml bottles of spicy ginger beer (I used the Great Jamaican brand that is available at most grocery stores) regular ginger ale will work too but won't deliver the spice level!

4 slices of ginger

8 cloves

4 cinnamon sticks

2 sliced apples

1 sliced orange

Instructions

Combine all of the above ingredients in a pitcher and chill in the fridge until you are ready to serve. A couple of hours will allow the cinnamon and clove flavors to fill the drink a bit more.

Serve in a glass with a cinnamon stick and enjoy!

About Farewell Angelina

Named after a haunting Bob Dylan song, Farewell Angelina is an all-female country group with four powerhouse vocalists, dynamic songwriters and accomplished multi-instrumentalists. Their stellar blend of heart-stopping harmonies over blazing double violins and guitars has earned soaring praise across the board. Roughstock calls them a “Superstar Act... with Killer Songs;” Rolling Stone says, “Wickedly smart songwriting delivered with a healthy dash of sass... deft playing... into one sonic knockout punch.” A band of longtime friends, Nicole Witt, Andrea Young, Lisa Torres & Ashley Gearing all met pursuing their dreams in Nashville, TN. Each deeply respected and admired one another while they were building successful solo careers, touring and recording with top artists, and writing songs for some of Country Music’s biggest hit-makers. When they heard the undeniable magic of their voices together for the first time, they couldn’t wait to take their show on the road. Major opportunities soon followed including singing the National Anthem for Thursday Night Football, The Unbridled Eve Gala for the Kentucky Derby, the ACM All-Star Jam, and the Albisguetli Schutzenhaus Festival in Switzerland. Farewell Angelina’s chemistry lives in watching each other shine, and most of all, creating moments every night with the Country Music fans they love so much. The relationship they share with their fans won them the fan-voted “Hot Seat” spot of the Taste of Country 2017 “RISERS” Program by over 20,000 votes. They’ve also been named among Rolling Stone’s “New Artists You Need To Know” and Roughstock’s “Ones to Watch” with a tour schedule to prove it. The girls have opened shows for the likes of Kenny Chesney, Old Dominion, Frankie Ballard, Jake Owen, Billy Currington, Maroon 5, and Trace Adkins, to name a few. The girls joined the Bacon Brother’s (Kevin & Michael) as the opening act on many dates of their last two summer tours. They are currently headlining their own “Women & Wine Tour” to packed crowds across the US. The girls will close out 2018 having played over 75 shows. The band’s highly anticipated “Women and Wine” EP is set for release in January 2019.
